Whether you’re listening from your backyard, walking a familiar trail, or out with a sighted assistant, this Bird-a-Thon is all about celebrating the joy of birding by ear—and the power of inclusive, nature-connected communities.
You’ll have 24 hours (from 12:01 AM to midnight local time) to identify as many bird species as you can by sound or sight. No experience? No problem! This event is open to everyone and includes pre-recorded training sessions and a chance to meet others during a virtual info session.
Prizes, a post-event celebration, and a nationwide results showcase make this a can’t-miss moment in birding for accessibility and inclusion.
