Squamish Bird Festival
With Nature Squamish
Feathers will fly (joyfully!) at the very first Squamish/Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Bird Festival — a vibrant, family-friendly celebration of our feathered friends and the ecosystems we share. Hosted by the Bird Friendly Squamish team on World Migratory Bird Day, this exciting new festival takes place Saturday, May 10 in Junction Park & U Siyam Pavilion.
Expect a full day of free workshops, guided bird walks, nature-themed art stations, prizes, and delicious treats — all focused on building bird-friendly cities and creating healthy shared spaces for wildlife and people. Organized by Nature Squamish, this festival also celebrates the community’s work toward Bird Friendly City certification, aiming to protect birds and the natural habitats they depend on.
Workshops are free but fill quickly, so be sure to sign up in advance. Whether you’re a birding pro, a curious kid, or just love nature, this is a perfect day to flock together and celebrate spring in the Howe Sound Biosphere Region.
Mark your calendar, spread your wings, and join the flock!
