Journey of Hope

With Birds Canada

Get ready for Journey of Hope, an inspiring afternoon at Birds Canada’s Port Rowan headquarters!

Ecologist Ian Davidson will take you on a fascinating tour of Long Point and beyond—highlighting MOTUS wildlife tracking, breeding bird atlasses, the Conserva Aves program, and more. What makes this talk extra special? It’s all told from the imaginative perspective of a wood thrush.

With a career spanning the Americas and Caribbean, Ian brings a global lens to local conservation. He’ll share stories from his work protecting shorebirds in James Bay, tracking mammals in the boreal forest, and safeguarding rainforests in Nicaragua—all woven into his current leadership with BirdLife International.

This event shines a spotlight on how Birds Canada is helping protect birds and habitats across 21 countries. It’s a must for anyone curious about bird conservation, migration, and international collaboration.
